1. First Month (Conception to Four Weeks)

3. Third Month
Here's what happens in the third month, which completes the first trimester:
9th Week - The head of the fetus will be almost half of the crown and begin to take on a human shape.
10th Week - The external genital organs will begin to develop with the apparent appearance of fingernails and toenails.
11th Week - The fetus’s eyelids are formed, with fully formed arms and legs. The larynx will also begin to form in the trachea.
12th Week - The fetus will be fully differentiated into male or female, with its eyes moved to the front of the face while the eyelids remain closed together.
